Line a small baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.

In a small microwave safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips in 30 second increments until melted through, making sure to stir in-between each 30 seconds.

Stir in the peppermint extract if using before pouring the chocolate onto the parchment paper.

Using a spatula, spread the dark chocolate out evenly.

Place the dark chocolate in your refrigerator to set for at least 15 minutes.

Once the chocolate is set, melt the white chocolate using the same instructions as above.

Pour the white chocolate over the dark chocolate and top it with the crushed candy cane.

Place it back in the fridge to set for at least an hour before.

Once it’s fully set, break the chocolate into big pieces and serve.
