Move over sweet potato fries!
Today, I’m bringing you these kick ass Savory Sweet Potato Waffles! Seriously, they’re what breakfast dreams are made of.

All you gotta do is mash up your ingredients and place them in a waffle iron until they’re nice and brown. Then, top them with your favorite sauce, or yogurt and greens for a nutrient-packed meal!
Or, if you’re feeling a little sweet and savory action, through some maple syrup on top. You know, if you want. But what you definitely don’t want to do is miss out on this recipe!
Side note: the secret ingredient in here is definitely my beloved Nuzest protein powder. I can’t promise, because I haven’t tested other proteins (I’m loyal AF, okay?), but I would bet any protein you have on hand would work. However, if you want to try Nuzest, feel free to use code: thekellykathleen to save a few bucks! Obviously, this is optional, but I so appreciate you if you do!
Dying to tell everyone you made this recipe and loved it?? Don’t forget to share a picture and tag @thekellykathleen so that I can profess my love to you and re-share it for all to see!

Hi Kelly!
THANK YOU! I’m eating these right now and they are delicious! I grated raw sweet potato, added chickpea flour in lieu of NUZEST, a chia egg (didn’t have flax), fresh curry leaves and green onions. MARVELOUS!
Best Wishes from Winnipeg,
Cass

Do you think almond flour would work in these in place of coconut?

Unfortunately no, coconut and almond flour have much different absorption rates.
