I’m not one of those moms that insists on having healthy snacks for her kids 24/7… I insist on having them for ME! Sorry kids, mama needs to eat.
Truth.
I created this little mix when I was about to fly to Disneyland and needed some healthy crunch for the plane. Let’s just say it has been the only consistent thing involving my meal prep every week since.
My kids love it, I love it, my husband loves it and I feel really good knowing there’s no junk in it like some of the store-bought stuff. PLUS, making a homemade snack mix means you get to save some cash while customizing it to your liking!
I’ve written a rough recipe for how I like my mix but feel free to switch it up! You could try it with macadamia nuts, Brazilian nuts, pecans, walnuts, sunflower seeds… the options are endless. I prefer to be plain Jane- peanuts, almonds, cashews and pistachios are my favorite!
If you don’t have Hu Kitchen chocolate, no worries- use whatever chocolate you have on hand! I’d love to see what you come up with so don’t forget to tag me on Instagram @ahealthyharmony!

IF YOU DECIDE TO MAKE THIS OR ONE OF MY MANY OTHER RECIPES, PLEASE DO SHARE YOUR CREATION ON INSTAGRAM BY TAGGING #AHEALTHYHARMONY @AHEALTHYHARMONY. YOUR SUPPORT MEANS THE WORLD TO ME AND I’D LOVE TO SHOW YOU MINE!
