Snacking on Snickerdoodle
Okay, you guys, I’m switching things up a little this week, mkay? Don’t freak out, though! I’m not straying too far from what you’re used to seeing from my page by bringing you a green smoothie or something. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about health, but that would just be madness. Instead, I’m bringing you a whole new kind of sweet with a homemade high protein snickerdoodle dip! It’s not a baked good, but it’s still totally delicious.
I’m a huge fan of the holiday season. So, I figured why not kick things off a little early with all the seasonal flavors, starting with snickerdoodle! However, with recipes like these Pumpkin Snickerdoodle Cookies and PB Stuffed Snickerdoodle Cookies, I didn’t want to do another cookie recipe. Instead, I took all the classic flavors you love and made them even better with a dippable, dunkable, irresistible dip! Even better, it comes together with just 4 ingredients and is full of protein to prevent a sugar crash. So, ready to get started? I thought so. Find out everything you’ll need to know below!
Ingredients & Alternatives
Chances are, you already have most, if not all of the ingredients you need to make this snickerdoodle dip! Take a look at the ingredients below, and double check your grocery list.
Yogurt – I used a dairy-free yogurt, but any yogurt you have on hand can be used. Just make sure it’s thick and creamy! Also, you’ll want to use a plain or very neutral flavor like vanilla in order to achieve the snickerdoodle flavor. I prefer a vegan greek yogurt
Nut Butter – I used Georgia Grinders cashew butter (code: kellyk), because it has a slightly more neutral flavor and creamy taste, but feel free to swap it out for almond butter or any other nut or seed butter you prefer. Just keep in mind that the taste of your dip will change based on what nut butter you use!
Protein – I like the Smooth Vanilla Clean Lean protein from Nuzest (code: thekellykathleen to save a few bucks), but any vanilla protein powder you like best can be used in its place. I wouldn’t recommend using a flavorless protein as this recipe NEEDS a little sweetness but if you do, make sure to whisk in a little sugar. A tbsp should do the trick!
Cinnamon – Cinnamon is a crucial ingredient to achieve the ultimate snickerdoodle flavor! If you skip on this, you might as well skip on the whole recipe.

Extra Add-Ins
I like how smooth this dip is, but if you want, you can absolutely add extra ingredients to create a bit more texture and add flavor! Some of my favorite additions include: graham crackers, white chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, cheesecake pieces, chopped nuts – peanuts would be great but chopped cashews, pecans or walnuts would be ideal too. You could even go crazy and used candied pecans. Do whatever fits your fancy!
Instructions for Snickderdoodle Dip
This dip is so simple, I’m not sure it can even be called a recipe. Really! All you have to do is combine the ingredients in a bowl, whisk them together with a spoon until smooth, and enjoy!
What to Dip With
You can’t have a high protein dip without something to dip in it, am I right? Unless you’re like me and just use a spoon. No judgement! However, if you’re looking for a more civilized snacking approach try using:
- Sliced apples
- Strawberries
- Pretzel Rods
- Snickerdoodles!
Storage
The best way to store this Snickerdoodle dip is to place it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days! Then, to serve, just let it rest at room temperature for about 5 minutes.
I don’t recommend freezing this recipe as it will be all types of gross once thawed!
Serving Suggestions
As the name suggests, this recipe is great on its own as a dip. However, if you want to get super creative, try adding it to other recipes, too!
- In Oats – Try topping warm oatmeal with this high protein dip. Or, use it to create overnight oats!
- On Toast – Have you tried yogurt toast? I was skeptical, but it’s delicious! Just toast up a slice of your favorite bread, and add a helping of snickderdoodle dip on top for a satisfying breakfast that tastes like dessert.
- As Icing – Use it as a healthy icing for cookies, cupcakes, and more
- With French Toast Sticks – The perfect addition to french toast, this dip can be dunked or drizzled!
