Festive Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies: Simple Bliss for the Holidays

Get ready to elevate your holiday spirit with these Festive Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies. These cookies combine the classic goodness of chocolate chips with a burst of colorful sprinkles, making them the perfect treat for the season. No fancy ingredients or complicated steps – just simple, delicious bliss in every bite.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup vegan butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon plant-based milk
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour – to make GF, simply use your favorite 1 to 1 GF baking flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup festive sprinkles

Instructions:

  1. In your handy mixing bowl, cream together the softened vegan butter and sugar until it’s smooth and delightful. Add in the plant-based milk and vanilla extract, and give it a good whisk.
  2. Now, introduce the flour, baking soda, and a pinch of salt to the party. Stir it all together until it forms a lovely cookie dough.
  3. Here comes the fun part – toss in the dairy-free chocolate chips and those festive sprinkles. Let your electric mixer work its magic for around 10-15 seconds, just until everything is beautifully combined.
  4. Ready your baking sheet with parchment paper, and divide that cookie dough into six equal parts. Roll them into charming little dough balls and place them on the baking sheet.
  5. Let the dough chill in the fridge for a solid 30 minutes. This dough needs a bit of time to pull itself together and get ready for the oven.
  6. As the dough chills, preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F. Once it’s all set, pop those cookies in for 14-16 minutes. Allow them to cool for at least 10 minutes before diving into the deliciousness.

Processing…
Success! You're on the list.

Variations

  1. Double Chocolate Delight: Mix in a 1/2 cup of dairy-free white chocolate chips to the dough for an extra chocolatey experience.
  2. Nutty Crunch: For a delightful crunch, add 1/2 cup of chopped nuts such as walnuts or pecans to the dough.
  3. Citrus Zing: Grate some orange or lemon zest into the dough for a refreshing citrus twist.

Friendly Tips:

  • Swap the sprinkles for your personal favorites – it’s your holiday cookie creation!
  • Feel free to freeze those dough balls for later cookie cravings. Just add a couple of extra minutes to the baking time when pulling them straight from the freezer.
