Sometimes the simple things in life are the things that bring us the most joy.
This smoothie is one of them.
I have been on the biggest smoothie kick lately and I think it’s purely because I’m craving summer on another level. Hi, Winter? Can you please go away now.
I need sun, fresh fruit and veggies, bees and wild flowers. I need warmth and freckles. I just need summer okay?
I also happen to need this smoothie. I know it’s nothing crazy… it’s simple after all but it gives me warmth in a way that only something this cold could. It gives me a little hope that summer is inching closer to us. Shortly we’ll feel the sun on our faces and the warm breeze in the air. We’ll smell the flowers and hear the bee’s buzzing. Soon, just not yet.
So instead of me bring you summer, I’m bring you the next best thing… a smoothie full of summer time vibes and shine.
To make this smoothie you will need only 4 things:
-Berries- preferably blueberries or else the name is kind of pointless.
-Riced Cauliflower- I LOVE using riced cauliflower in smoothies because it gives the smoothie some bulk AND nutrition without adding any flavor.
-Dairy-Free Milk or Water- But really just Dairy-Free milk. Do you want it creamy or do you want it like a slushy? Your choice. Choose wisely.
-Nuzest Rich Chocolate Protein– This one isn’t optional. I mean, sure you could use some other dairy-free protein but it won’t be the same. There is NO protein on the market like Nuzest protein. I know this from personal experience and research. If you’d like to read more about why their protein is superior- read this article.
After that you top as you please! In this picture I used 1/2 a banana (which full discloser- I actually didn’t eat. I never thought I could meet a too ripe banana but guys, I met one.), coconut flakes, Wild Friends Collagen PB in Chocolate and a Salted Almond Theo’s Chocolate square (which I just discovered is actually cheaper on Amazon. Fine. I guess I’ll order a whole case.)
