Brownies and cookies. In. One. Mug. Does life get any better? Oh, wait! It does.

This recipe is packed with all the sweet flavors you’re looking for in a dessert and plenty of chocolate to satisfy your sweet tooth. However, it’s also full of protein powder (I gotcha covered with a discount to keep this super cheap! use code: thekellykathleen to save.) to keep you satisfied after the sugar high wears off. Plus, as are all (okay most of) my recipes, it’s allergy-friendly, too!

Brookie Mug Cake

Okay, okay. I know all you care about is how to make it. So, to start you’ll need two smaller bowls. Mix all the ingredients for the brownie in one bowl and all the ingredients for the cookie in the second. Then, combine the two in one bowl or mug, and hit the microwave. No, really it’s that easy!

Cookie Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp Unsweetened Applesauce
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 tbsp Cashew Butter
  • 1-2 tsp Mini Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Powder

Instructions

  1. You’ll need two smaller bowls to mix the brownie ingredients and cookie ingredients together individually.

  2. Once the brownie ingredients are mixed together, add your mixed cookie ingredients into the same bowl and cook the mixture in the microwave for 75-90 seconds. 75 seconds will give you a really gooey glorious texture while 90 seconds will be like a fully baked cookie.

  3. Let it cool for a minute before diving in.
