Did you grow up eating apple fritters? Deep-fried, glistening with sugary glaze, and best served warm they are the ultimate reminder of childhood memories.

However, we all know deep-fried delicacies have a place in our lives, but maybe aren’t an everyday thing. So, wanting to recreate an old favorite, I decided to try my hand at healthifying (yes, we’re making that a word) everyone’s favorite Apple Fritters!

What we ended up with was even better than I could have expected.

Baked Apple Fritters

Perfectly fluffy, soft, and sweet, this baked recipe is made in literally 10 minutes in your air-fryer and can be made gluten-free to fit all your needs!

So, what you need to do is roll up your sleeves and get baking!

Start by preheating your air fryer. Then, combine your wet ingredients until well mixed. Next, fold in all wet ingredients, and drop three spoonfuls onto greased parchment paper. Bake the dollops for 8-10 minutes.

Meanwhile, whisk together the powdered sugar glaze, and use it to top your fritters right out of the air fryer for a crazy good mouthwatering dessert.

Made with cinnamon, maple syrup, and chopped apples, these Baked Apple Fritters are the ultimate easy comfort food recipe!

  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour or 1:1 Gluten-Free
  • 2 tbsp Unsweetened Applesauce
  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil, Melted
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Pinch of Salt
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Apple, Pea Sized


  • 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp Plant-Based Milk


  1. Preheat your air fryer at 400 degrees F for 5 minutes. 

  2. While the air fryer is preheating, combine the wet ingredients then fold in the dry.

  3. Once preheated, CAREFULLY place a square of parchment paper in the air fryer and liberally spray it with coconut cooking spray.

  4. Drop 3 similar sized spoonfuls of the batter onto the greased parchment paper.

  5. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes until the tops are golden brown.

  6. Whisk the glaze together and top while warm!
