Air Fryer Monkey Bread
This DELISH monkey bread is vegan and lighter than the classic!
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 3 tbsp vegan butter divided
- 1/4 cup plant-based milk
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
In a large bowl, cut 2 tbsp of the butter into the flour, baking powder and salt. When the butter is smallish chunks, lightly fold in the milk. It will be crumbly! Pop it into the fridge for 20 minutes or overnight.
Grease a small ramekin and set it aside. In a small bowl melt 1 tbsp of butter and let it cool slightly. In an additional small bowl, whisk together the sugar and cinnamon.
Grab the dough and to roll it into 6 equal balls. Roll each ball into the melted butter then the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place them into your greased ramekin. * if you want a more gooey monkey bread I’d melt an additional tbsp of butter with a 1/2 tbsp of sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. I’d pour that mixture over the dough in the ramekin.
Bake in your air fryer at 300 for 30 & enjoy.
